Golf Marketing and Management Ltd (GMM Ltd) was founded in 1996 by David Hughes MSc, a former Tournament Director with the PGA and the Ladies European Tour and an ex professional golfer.
David identified a gap in the market for an amateur golf experience similar to that enjoyed by professionals.
Realising the size of the opportunity in the marketplace and equipped with his vast experience of planning, delivering and administering golf events throughout the UK and Europe, he conceived and launched a series of events and competitions aimed at passionate and competitive amateur golfers.
The Tour and Matchplay competitions are now part of the landscape of the amateur golfing calendar in the UK.
Since 1996, GMM has earned a reputation as an innovative and progressive organisation and has developed a series of complimentary golf products and services on the back of the event and competition success.
A golf handicapping service, charitable work and advisory services form part of the GMM portfolio.
